Louie Taylor:
I am a composer from Dorset in the South West of England. I was around the age of 16 when I started composing seriously, before that I dabbled for fun. I have found much of my inspiration in the beauty of the English countryside, especially growing up in the stunning Dorset with the Jurassic coast and the Isle of Purbeck. The other main thing that inspires me, however, is my love for my family and their steadfast nature.
Programme Notes:
This piece is about my more recent university experiences in the countryside at Ashton Court Estate, a stunning country grounds and deer sanctuary. I have had many wonderful jaunts there with my closest friends. Our adventures here have made a massive positive contribution to my university experience and I wanted to write about our extraordinarily fun, life-changing and occasionally precarious excursions.
